At the moment, one of the major consumers of SAPROPEL is agriculture. Chemical analyses show that SAPROPEL contains all nutrients required by plants which no other single fertiliser can provide. SAPROPEL contains significant quantity of huminic acids and their salts durable to biological disintegration essentially enriching the humus fund of soil - material carrier of its fertility.

Studies conducted in the world proved that SAPROPEL:

  • reduces soil acidity;
  • increases moisture capacity of ploughing layer;
  • acts as a radio protector, i.e. promotes maintenance of radioactive strontium and other heavy metals in soil in an inert form, unavailable for plants.

The main components needed by plant nutrition, such as SiO2, K2O, P2O5, CaO, etc., are present in SAPROPEL both in gross and mobile forms. By using SAPROPEL as a fertiliser, soil is getting twice more nitrogen and phosphor that can be provided by usual mineral fertilisers. Use of SAPROPEL in combination with mineral fertilisers helps enhance their physical characteristics - eliminates the effect of slumping of mineral fertilisers, increases time of their retention in soil.

SAPROPEL remains effective for 6 years.

SAPROPEL of organic (biogenic) type applied to soil in the quantity of 60-80t/ha will increase:

  • soil moisture by 2-3%;
  • humus - from 2-2.5% to 3.5-4.5%;
  • P2O5 - from 2.5-3.5% to 14.2-21.0 mg per 100 g of soil;
  • K2O, - from 8.0 to 8.4-10.5 mg per 100 g of soil;
  • pH - from 5.2 to 7.0 for podzol soils;
  • hydrolytic acidity - from 2.33-2.84 to 0.3-0.53 mg equiv. per 100 g of soil.
